Ph. Fr. von Siebold: "Flora Japonica"


In 1835 Siebold finished the first installments of his "Flora Japonica". The book was written in collaboration with Joseph Gerhard Zuccarini and issued in 30parts. During Siebold's lifetime until 1844, only the first volume and five installments of the second volume appeared. After Zuccarini's death in 1848 the edition of was practically stopped. Later in 1870 F. A. W. Miquel edited another five installments.
