Little is known about Barent Langenes from Middelburg (Netherlands). Probably he was the author and publisher of the 'Caert-Thesoor'. The first edition of this miniature atlas (1598) still had some problems, but re-written and re-engraved later editions in Amsterdam popularity for about five decades.
