John Senex (1678-1740)


Born at Ludlow in Shropshire England, Senex became an apprentice to Robert Clavell in the Stationers' Company in 1695. After seven years he started his career as an astronomer, map maker, engraver, publisher of globes and maps, surveyor and geographer to Queen Anne.
